Job Description:

• Client is seeking a Test Engineer to support on-site, dedicated 2nd and 3rd shift and weekend test bench operations for the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production Space Payload program.
• Responsibilities include executing test scripts for the verification of Software, Hardware, and System requirements for applications in Space.
• Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems, especially RADAR, SIGINT, or COMMS.
• Programming and scripting skills; and, working knowledge of RF test equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, etc.) is desired.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math); or HS diploma with at least 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance, or military control room console operator; or defense industry work experience with sensor system, ideally RADAR, integration and test or operation and maintenance
• Willingness to work dedicated 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends for several months continuously (2nd shift is typically 1 PM – 10 PM; 3rd shift is typically 9 PM – 6 AM)
• No clearance needed to start for escorted work (Must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance)
• U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test
• Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment
• Programming in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code
• Scripting in Python or TCL for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket.
• TS/SCI clearance for unescorted work.
